The 23rd Annual GQ Men of the Year Awards took place on November 26th. We collaborated with British GQ, Black Dog Films and Ridley Scott Creative Group to bring to life a very special MOTY 2020 show. The awards were hosted by Jack Whitehall, from the London Coliseum. This year’s show, reimagined for digital viewing, reached the biggest global audience for any event in the magazine’s history. ‘Idiot Prayer’ is a solo performance from Nick Cave. Filmed in late June, in an empty Alexandra Palace with just a grand piano for accompaniment, the resulting show is both intimate and mesmerising. On the evening of July 23rd, the performance was streamed worldwide to fans, as part of a one off, ticketed event. HS designed the titles for this spellbinding film, shot by cinematographer Robbie Ryan.

The 23rd Annual GQ Men of the Year Awards took place on November 26th. We collaborated with British GQ, Black Dog Films and Ridley Scott Creative Group to bring to life a very special MOTY 2020 show. The awards were hosted by Jack Whitehall, from the London Coliseum. This year’s show, reimagined for digital viewing, reached the biggest global audience for any event in the magazine’s history. ‘Idiot Prayer’ is a solo performance from Nick Cave. Filmed in late June, in an empty Alexandra Palace with just a grand piano for accompaniment, the resulting show is both intimate and mesmerising. On the evening of July 23rd, the performance was streamed worldwide to fans, as part of a one off, ticketed event. HS designed the titles for this spellbinding film, shot by cinematographer Robbie Ryan.

In the final days before our team relocated to begin working remotely, one of the last shoots HS directed was a motion capture session for our Jehnny Beth project. The result of of a year’s collaboration, this film was produced over a 12 week period, with our team working across different locations from London to Paris to Tokyo.
